I think we've all had "cringe moments" where we heard someone that needs Jesus "preached down to" Or we've felt very awkward with the " religious-sounding language" someone used to communicate about God. In worst-case scenarios, it can push the very people who need Jesus most away from Him.

It was so different when Jesus communicated to people. Individuals hung off his every word. Crowds spent hours travelling to where he was teaching. Unlikely people who had a genuine hunger for a genuine connection with God wanted to be around Jesus. He attracted them.
