Prayer

Why We Pray

It is a great privilege to pray; to bring before a God who deeply loves us, our cares, needs and requests. We believe that when we pray, God hears, and because we have prayed, we have advanced God’s purposes into desperate situations. We can pray personally and privately, and as a faith community, across our campuses we can pray for each other. We welcome your requests and you are also invited to pray with us.

You may add your prayer request to our prayer wall using the form below. Once your prayer request is received, we will share it according to your instructions. Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like!

Hi church family. Will you pray for my mom? She was raised in Catholic school but has not ever followed Jesus. We believe that the Lord is working in her heart because lately she has been asking for prayer - either for her or Dad or other family. She told me today that we - a ‘holy family’ need to pray for her because God doesn’t hear her prayers :( and that’s why she has so many health issues!?! Please pray that our amazing God will continue His work in her to soften her heart and open her eyes. Please pray that she would be protected from the lies of the enemy. Please pray her health issues would be resolved and may she see that it was * her * Lord that brought mercy and goodness upon her. Thank you and God bless you too.

I am an international student and just graduated. It was lucky that one job reached and hired me after graduation. However, my company has decided to cut my new team since government just stopped the wage subsidy. Although I am in a popular industry (digital marketing), it is still not easy for a non-PR person to find job. Meanwhile, I am on my immigration program with limited time to accumulate working hours within a year. Working so hard to find a replacement job, I have had super busy weeks with lots of interviews. It is so stressful at the moment. The good news is few of them let me go through the second interview. Waiting for any updates or offers is what I have to do. Being patience is not easy.

I still feel like walking alone on this journey. Please pray for my anxiety and let the holy spirit guide me to make the right decision for choosing my next job!

A few months ago I shared a prayer request for my mom. She went through surgery 3 weeks ago to remove skin cancer from her arm and had a biopsy done as well. (she did not get sick from the anesthetic which was another answer to prayer) Today we found out the cancer has not spread anywhere, the lymph node biopsy report was negative and there is no treatment necessary. Thank you all for your prayers. God is faithful. For surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen. Thank you, everyone!

Giving an update on my son's asthma test:

The doctor couldn't definitively diagnose him with asthma, as the difference was minimal and he's still growing. As far as I'm concerned, God has answered my prayers! Thank you to all who prayed for him.

Dear friends please keep me in prayer this time of year has previously been very difficult to get through financially. With an increase in our rent over market price and transportation issues. It’s been very hard. I pray for a miracle in my family's finances so that we will not be living paycheques and using payday loans to get by every pay it is a cycle that is hard to break when you have limited resources. I appreciate your prayers it gives me some comfort that others are praying for me. Thank you

Prayer Answered!

Dear Church Family,

I posted here in June regarding a job opportunity and my prayer was answered! I am so grateful to belong to a Church that prays for each other.

I am so thankful that things have worked out and I am also here to pray for the needs of others.

Blessings!

Hi I am requesting prayer today. I was not able to pay my portion of the rent yesterday because my previous pay went to so many other bills. My heart has been broken for days now. My sibling is in jail and his lawyer needs to be paid and there is no money right now. I am sad this situation on top of the current financial challenges at home is difficult especially when I have to go to work every day and act like I am ok and I am not. Right now I am not ok. I ask that you pray for me to pay my rent on time even with the other bills hydro etc. Our car needs breaks right now it seems to be one thing after another. Thank you for your prayers

Dear God,

I am so full of fear, anxiety and depression. I have not yet been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s but I struggle with finding some words.

I will be getting an “eeg” and am really scared about this as my hair is already falling out. I am an only child and both of my parents have died. I have some friends but they are busy with their own lives. I feel very alone and isolated and don’t feel like living anymore though I am too scared to do anything about it, I just want to be like I was before.

Thank you for listening to my prayer.

I'd like you to join me in praying for my mother's healing this season. I received a call from her this week since the doctor informed her that she now has more white cells than red cells. She was worried and afraid. She is unsure of what it means and sometimes jumps to conclusions, but she has a test coming up shortly. Keep her in your prayers, asking the Lord to heal her and provide her with peace of mind.
