Why We Pray

It is a great privilege to pray; to bring before a God who deeply loves us, our cares, needs and requests. We believe that when we pray, God hears, and because we have prayed, we have advanced God’s purposes into desperate situations. We can pray personally and privately, and as a faith community, across our campuses we can pray for each other. We welcome your requests and you are also invited to pray with us.
I prayed for this

Prayed for 6 times.

Elizabeth Sherk

My mother, Jean Erb died on Easter Saturday morning. My sister, Ruth, my brother, Peter, our spouses, our children and grandchildren have all been remembering her and our life together for two weeks now. We will meet to bury her ashes on Mothers' Day Sunday next week and there will be a gathering of friends at our house after the burial...I am grateful for many aspects of this process of bidding farewell to someone who has been so significant in all of our lives. I would like continuing awareness of God's comforting and helpful PRESENCE among all the members of my family, and friends of my mother, and in my own heart day by day... until this season of mourning comes to a healthy end.
