Ripped Open (Easter 2026)
The most important thing that happened on Good Friday wasn’t gentle or symbolic; it was violent and final. When Jesus died, the temple curtain was ripped apart, not to destroy faith but to free it. God didn’t mend the system that kept people out; He tore it down. Sometimes healing doesn’t begin with repair but with rupture. The cross shows us a God willing to break open power, control, and distance so that access, grace, and belonging could finally flow to everyone.
What happens when the grave doesn’t stay closed? If Good Friday was about what had to be ripped open, Easter is about what refuses to stay closed. The tomb was sealed, guarded, and secured because everyone assumed death always gets the last word. Easter tells a different story. What was closed in fear was opened in hope. What was sealed by loss was reopened by life. And if the grave didn’t stay shut, then maybe your future doesn’t have to either.
