Engaging Our Community

This 6-week series explores how we see scripture, theology and faith through the lens of the poor. The group discussion sessions will challenge attendees to reimagine ways of engagement that connect our faith to how we serve the communities we live in.

Jesus advocated for justice and compassion for the poor, and in the same way, Christ-followers are uniquely positioned to make a lasting impact in our neighbourhoods.

Professor Jesse Sudirgo is the Assistant Professor of Contextual Ministry at Tyndale University. He is the former Director of Street-Involved Services at the YSM Evergreen Centre, and his background in church planting in Boston Massachusetts has shaped his interests in missional lay leadership, community development, and urban poverty.
