Is the Bible a Dangerous Book?

The author and publisher, Mark Twain famously quipped that; “It ain’t the parts of the Bible that I can’t understand that bother me, it’s the parts that I do understand.” This ancient book with over 66 different documents, 6 different genres of literature, written over a span of 1500 years has been called “The Most Dangerous Book in the World!” In this series, we will explore how to read the Bible and understand it by placing the “micro-narratives” (those single scriptures, thoughts and stories) inside of the “meta-narratives” (the large, unified story of God). Simply put, we want to equip you to “Connect the Dots” so that you can grow in the understanding of scripture while avoiding the pitfalls of poor hermeneutics (Hermeneutics – def – to interpret and understand the Bible).
