Power Dynamics

Power Dynamics are the balance — or lack of balance — that exists between two or more parties. We live in a world where we have become keenly aware of the misuse and even the abuse of power. The power dynamics and constructs that had been seen as acceptable, even normal, are now seen as being unacceptable and oppressive. Jesus inhabited an ancient world where the abuse and misuse of power was normal and even expected. It was how you got things done.

Now, power is not evil, but instead, it is necessary. Power is something needed to correct, build up, and even set us free.
